Why not have a mic set up for John or whoever is on sound at the time so they can talk properly rather than murmering in the background. Also I think this turning into the Power Rangerscast hahaha

The thing with Iron Fist is it is NOT A KUNG FU MOVIE its a business dram and is half smart not useless violence like a Michael Bay movie. Not that that is necessarily bad, but it dose not make a good plot thus kung fu movies and the transformers franchise. . .

I am personally enjoying Ironfist way more than I did Luke Cage so far. For one, plot is moving a lot faster, and the characters are way less one-dimensional and have actual development. Meanwhile, Luke Cage was good for 4 episodes, then went to shit when Diamondback, a villain who the writers want you to think is smart, but everything he says is fucking stupid, came into play. Mariah was a big old waste of potential who did almost nothing in the series. The last episode was hot garbage, the final battle happened right at the beginning, then everything afterwards felt like filler. Luke Cage getting pardoned on the spot at the police station cause he made a speech was laughable.

Characters in Iron Fist feel like they're actually developing. I do agree that the choreography is nowhere near the level of Daredevil's though.

Torrian seems to be blowing it a bit too much out of proportions, I personally didn't have a problem with the fighting, except for one time where I noticed they cut a lot, the fighting had some cool moments at times, sure most of it wasn't special, but it looked fine to me, and it doesn't seem like he only had one week to train. That being said, it does have a lot of flaws, but it's really not as bad as the reviewers are saying.

I've been really wanting to see pyramid head (Silent Hill 2) vs the keeper (The Evil Within) in a DEATH BATTLE. Could that be a thing, thanks for everything guys.

One of Genie's lines in the first movie is explaining how he has "PHENOMENAL, COSMIC POWERS". Either in the later movies, or at least the TV cartoon, it is expressed frequently that he only now has "Semi-phenomenal, NEARLY cosmic powers."

Iron Fist is bad. Even if you take out all of Torian's (legitimate) gripes about what's wrong with the action, fights and cinematography, there are still a lot of terrible things to account for:

    1) A character who's main strength is punching things, and he manages to punch his way out of every situation

    2) Not one but TWO potentially awesome female roles NEVER given the chance to show potential, and instead pigeon holed into doing/saying whatever the fuck they need to move the slow-as-molasses "plot" moving (including boinking a 12 year old in a man's body, and oh yeah, Joy had to potential to go hardcore Darth Vader levels of betrayal in the first couple of episodes)

    3) A grown-ass man spends 13 episodes acting like a 12 year old (which he should, because I don't think middle school was a training session in Kun-Lun) AND LITERALLY NOT A SINGLE GODDAMNED PERSON CALLS HIM ON IT... In fact, they're completely ok with it...

    4) SERIOUSLY!! WHY THE FUCK WAS HE ABLE TO PUNCH HIS WAY OUT OF EVERY FUCKING SITUATION?!

Torian is completely right in that not only were the fights slow and uninspiring, but they blend in so well with the wet-bread that is the storyline.

Yeah, the Defenders is gonna be Netflix's Avengers... that means Iron Fist is Netflix's Thor 1: it feels like it just got put out there so that everyone would already know who this fucker is before going into it, so it's not a cold start... Which in no way makes it fucking better.

Does that make Luke Cage the Hulk? Cause his series was way worse imo.

I'm going to say, they might've sold me on watching the Power Rangers movie. My biggest concern about that movie was that it wouldn't be fun. And aren't all Godzilla moves boring until he shows up? When have the human characters even been worth paying attention too?

I don't get all the hate towards Iron Fist.  My fiance and I are currently on episode 9 and really enjoy it.  Now I don't know much about martial arts or anything, but I read Iron Fist and Heroes for Hire when I was younger and so far I enjoy this show.  Yea it sucks that the main actor didn't get trained enough for the show, but I enjoy the plot and I enjoy the tie in to the Defenders and everything.  Also my fiance has watched bits and pieces of all the other series, but this is the first one she actually got hooked on.  So I don't get the hate, if you want to watch awesome and legit martial arts, then go watch it,  You should know what you're getting into.  I enjoy the show and if anyone else hasn't seen it I encourage you to watch it, unless all you care about is choreography and correct martial arts, then don't watch it, it's all good.

Shout out to the Raid 2. When I watched that movie, I actually rewound through that whole scene just to watch it again. It's sooo good.
