After watching the specific part where she explains why the Kessel Run is measured in distance multiple times, it still makes no sense why you would measure the speed at which you can go a distance in a certain amount of time is measured in distance.

I think she was trying to say that the Kessel Run is a very treacherous route with lots of obstacles and dangers, and I'd assume many pilots take the long route to avoid these dangers and Han is just saying that he is such a good pilot that he can maneuver around the dangers so well that he can complete it in a shorter distance... unless I'm completely wrong and everything I just said is a bunch of nonsense.

My understanding: The obstacles that litter the route present a tremendous number of gravity wells (i.e. a lot of black holes) and lesser ships would need to steer further clear of these obstacles in order to escape their event horizons. The Millennium Falcon, I'm told, is capable of cutting much closer to these obstacles and still making it through their gravitational pull because it is so much faster. Thus, its greater speed equates to a shorter possible distance travelled. Time becomes relative in hyperspace and is thus a useless metric of speed by comparison.

Sorry for the nitpicking, but actually, what was pictured was an F-22, not an F-16.

Aside from that, if you read the WEG books for their roleplaying game, the bloody thing has three droid brains in its hyperdrive computer, and they only agree on things when Han makes them. XD

    Nice video!

Misnaming aircraft even for just stock footage always bothers me as well.
