Great list. Also reminding me that I really should go back and get Link's Awakening on something again to play it, since I only have the vaguest memories of it from when I was a kid. Also definitely need to, since my favorite Zelda games, Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, (I usually count them as one since they have data transfer and a linked story), for the Gameboy Color, run off of the same engine and use the same art assets.....

Kid Dracula and Mega man V look kind of interesting. Maybe I'll get them on virtual console. One game that I think you missed is Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, but otherwise a pretty solid list.

I'll always remember the Game Boy as the one handheld I never got to own or play.  I missed out on a lot as a kid.

How did I not see Number 1 coming? Personally I don't think it deserved the top spot. It should have definitely been on the list but games like Mario Land 2 and Link's Awakening have aged far better.

I think it was mostly because Pokemon has left the biggest impact on the gaming and really multimedia world. And those games on the Gameboy are what started it all. With Mario and Zelda, the games were good, and did affect their franchises a bit, of course, but Red and Blue are what started the Pokemon franchise, which has suceeded where even Zelda and Mario have failed. It has a anime series that was made specifically to sell the games, and is still going strong with new episodes every week after all these years, while both Mario and Zelda's attempts at tv shows were what can only optimistically be described as short lived products of the time. Pokemon also has had a series of movies that have had big theatrical releases, while the only Mario movie we got is something that everyone wishes we didn't, and Zelda hasn't even had that much. Then there's also the Pokemon trading card game, which has a rather large fanbase in it's own right, and even people who never got into the actual card game still collect the cards. Most of the time, Screw Attack's top 10 lists aren't about what was necessarily the "best" in the category, or what has aged the best, (though there are plenty who will disagree with you on Pokemon having not aged well), but rather on how much impact it had or how different it was compared to the competition or other games in the series at the time. And love or hate Pokemon games, you can't deny that Pokemon has had probably one of the biggest impacts on our culture of almost any game franchise, and it all started with the original games on the Gameboy....

Number 1 was easy to see coming. Also, on your Kid Dracula entry, was that Jason with a shotgun?

I'm surprised how many of these i managed to call. Mario land 2, tetris and pokemon all came to mind immediately when i saw the video title.

Excellent list guys.  There are so many great games for the Gray Brick that they can't fit into this list.

I saw number 1 coming a mile away. I'm disappointed that I've never heard of most of the games on this list though. Makes me wish I still had a Gameboy so I could attempt to try some of them.
