Honestly, most of these worlds wouldn't appeal to me beyond the surface. They're too peaceful, which is nice in it's own way, but it also grows really boring over time. If I were to be transported to a fictional world, I'd want it to be one of action and adventure, where heroes and monsters fill the world and an adventure isn't just exploring for treasure with no risk to make the reward worth while. Having a mix of peaceful and exciting is something that tends to be done best in things like MMOs, because there is usually plenty of room to either go out adventuring, or earn your living by gathering materials or crafting. Not to mention that quite a few of those do have things like revival spells and coming back from the dead as lore-friendly properties, so as long as you're prepared, fighting a danger that's too large doesn't necessarily have to be the end.....

As for my personal pick, I'd go with Eorzea, (specifically the city of Limsa Lominsa), the main continent in Final Fantasy XIV. There adventurers can make quite a profit and go on plenty of quests. There's always stuff that needs to be done, so quests are plentiful if you're an Adventurer. You're also more than able to make a healthy living as a crafter or gatherer, turning cheap raw materials into profit as you get better at it. True all of these are present in most MMOs, but FFXIV does it the best in my opinion, (in part because you're not limited to one class per character), combined with having a fairly beautiful world where if you just feel like exploring, you can usually find spectacular sights in every region.....

Why not the Mushroom Kingdom? I know you might say "But Bowser attacks on like a weekly basis", well, he attacks the CASTLE, the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom is largely untouched. So as long as you're just a civilian NOT living in Peach's castle, you're good.

I agree to that. With various options of what can be of use. Who says you can't train with friendly Koopas, or become a renowned chef. Have an adventure just delivery mail. And that's just the RPG games. As it is proven, almost any enemy species/race has friendly variations. Aside from Royal Koopas. Harry Potter is cool but I would rather train with a Magikoopa like the one in Little Fungitown. Jump in a blue shell power-up and learn Shell Dash. Maybe even befriend a Yoshi as your drinking buddy.

I would personally put the world of "Toriko" high on this list.

Everybody's ones main goal in life is to find and eat good food... Everyone!!!

I can only imagine how delicious life would get there plus very little war between humans

Star Trek combines the best of both sides. It's boring and dangerous. And why no Bionis and Mechonis? Those places are awesome. They combine the best parts of fantasy with the best parts of sic-fi. Sure it's ruled by an evil god who starts wars for shits and giggles, but how is that any different from reality?

The thing with Star Wars is you don't get to choose if you become a Force User, you just "might" be able to become a force user. For the rest of us, unless you somehow become a cool bounty hunter, life kind of sucks for any civilians because of the Empire or the First Order.

@BasicShapeRobot Valid point, and you're not wrong. However, you're forgetting to don't get to pick when you're born. If you're born pre-clone wars, you've got it made. Things also seemed pretty good, for a time, after the empire fell, so there are some windows of good in there.
