Definitely a great list, though for me personally, I prefer Meganium over Feraligator, and Ho-oh over Lugia. Other than that, my personal list would include Octillery, Dunsparce, Crobat, and Uknown. Dunsparce and Octillery because they are both odd pokemon that I enjoy using, (and Dunsparce in particular has a killer moveset if built right), and Crobat is there because the first shiny I caught in the wild, (ie not a scripted catch like the Red Gyarados), was a Golbat in Ruby version, which has since followed me all the way to the current generation games. As for Uknown, it's mostly because it has so many different variations, introduced Hidden Power, as well as being the basis for written lanuage in the pokemon universe, on top of being central to more than a couple of puzzles throughout the franchise......

Awesome list! Second generation is my favorite of Pokemon. I would have included Heracross as another awesome bug Pokemon but Pokemon like Skarmory, Feraligatr, and Lugia are definitely deserving of this list

I'm glad they don't put much thought into creating pokemon. Feraligatr is 7'7" and weighs less than 200 lbs but looks that big. Oh right... anime.

Am I missing a joke here? Why was Sam with the red gyarados?

This should explain it for you. It's been a running joke on screwattack for a little while:

Aww you picked Feraligatr over Typhlosion? And I'm sure Ben's not happy about a lack of Heracross either.

    Espeon without a doubt.

I went through that whole list waiting for either espeon or umbreon to be somewhere on it, but to no avail.  Both are great and it was a lot of fun to play coliseum since you got both as your starters.

Umbreon is still my favorite Gen-2 Pokemon and it is a shame that it didn't make it onto this list. Would have also accepted Espeo

Umbreon. What better way to introduce a new type than to have it being represented by a new Eevee evolution. Plus, unlike the gen 1 Eevee evolutions, you had to work for it.

Now this video takes me back and some of those Pokemon I have on the list I had when those games originally came out.
