Is it bad that I'm not a big comic book fan, and especially not a DC fan, but even I immediately knew that Green Lantern would be at least in the top 3?

I believe another honorable mention goes to the aliens in Signs.

Their biggest weakness is water (and wooden doors apparently, too). So they decide to invade a planet that is LITERALLY COVERED BY WATER.

    What about spelunker

He dies falling half his height and has a weakness to everything

But the worst of all is stepping in bat poop...

Last time i checked bat poop is gross not deadly

Superman destroyed the Kryponite that was cuffed onto him with the restraints in Injustice 2, which is why Kryponite is ranked #3.

Shazam only turns back if the lightning bolt it conjures strikes him directly. In fact, he once used it to defeat evil-parallel Superman by grappling him over his head and saying "shazam" repeatedly. (Pikaaa!) Even so, magical lightning striking the spot he was standing every time he says his name can make introductions "difficult".

To be fair to Devil Fruit users in One Piece, it mostly seems to be the ocean that weakens them. They can still fight in the rain, drink water, and not be hurt by clouds (Until someone comes in with the Cloud Cloud Fruit, at least).

Also, to be fair to Shazam, he used to be called Captain Marvel.

Weaboo clarification: devil fruit users are weak specifically to standing water.

For other dumb DC weaknesses, the original Green Lantern (Alan Scott) and Power Girl have both been weak to wood at different points in their history.

Also, Mon-El is a Daxamite - a species of Kryptonian explorers who evolutionarally diverged from their fore-bearers. The one big difference is that they have no weakness to kryptonite, instead being weak to lead. So he's a Superman who can be taken down by bullets.

God I forgot about Wonder Woman when I saw this video.

Green Lanterns haven't had that yellow weakness for years and as far as I know that isn't WonderWoman's weakness anymore.

Both weakness were "modified" over the years. I don't read WW, but I do know GL's weakness was changed from a color to the emotion of fear, and yellow is the color of fear.

Wonder Woman does still have that weakness, but it's mostly unknown and extremely difficult to exploit, so seeing it's extremely rare. It came up once, and only once iirc, in the Justice League animated series. The villain exploited it by accident and Batman had to explain why she wasn't easily breaking free and wrecking house. I haven't read the "new 52" version, so maybe it changed.

Yep. DC is overpowered so they give them shitty weaknesses. You forgot to mention J'onn J'onzz, another ridiculously powerful superhero, whose weakness is fire.

To be fair, pretty much all living things are weak to fire

Green Lanterns haven't been weak to yellow in a very long time. It would be more accurate to go after the golden age version with his weakness to wood.

Most of these were DC. This is why I'm more into Marvel.

For Shazam, what movie/ tv show did they use? The newer looking one, not the Justice League era one

I think it's either Justice League War or Throne of Atlantis.

FACT: Wonder Woman's weakness is basically more of a really weird way of telling the female readers that if they willingly give up their freedom to a man, then they are willingly giving up their powers... It was a comic in the late 50s/early 60s. They were weird back then. Stilt-Man was somehow an actual threat at that time.

Motion sickness is stupid for Dragon Slayers,

Like say if you are a powerful Dragon slayer and you get on a Train, boom you got motion sickness

I would say Josuke Higashikata and his inability to Heal Himself and his Stand Ability is Restoration/Healing is a Dumb Weakness

But from a writer's perspective it makes sense, otherwise Josuke would be invincible, and that wouldn't make for a good read.

That's less of a weakness and more of a limitation.
