I love the service, I've been a fan since RVB S1 and once I turned 18 and had money I paid for a sponsorship. Been a subscriber for years.

Here's why I paid for the service

Live-Streams - I always loved the interaction between RT Live streams and the audience.

      Watching Videos early

      Price point - very cheap

      Here's why I'm cancelling:

      Live-Streams -

For the past 18 months I haven't been able to watch a live-stream without big interruption

There just isn't an authentic feeling live interaction with the audience.I really like seeing Burnie cuss some idiot out on twitter or read them out. Even if it wasn't me it was engaging, because they often had a similar thing to say as me.

It takes high speed bandwidth to watch them. I'm a single male working 23 year old. Like a lot of your audience I'm from Australia. I pay for the highest speed internet available to me. If I have nothing using my bandwidth and if it's a good day I can watch the podcast.

This just isn't an issue on YouTube with my favourite live-stream Joe Rogan. I frequently pick JRE over RT at clashing time simply because I know it will work, and in 720p.

The site just doesn't seem to throttle down for lower resolution streams, and it can take ages to switch if I'm lucky. It frequently just doesn't switch.

I am sure that this isn't just an isolated situation for you're audience. Love the shows. As I'm watching right now the off topic podcast is freezing.

It makes me upset that there's so much advertising now and I can't enjoy the show at all. I've asked for an audio only version, why can't we have this? Why is this not available, it's clear there isn't any effort to fix this issue for users like me.

      Watching Videos Early:

The original reason I subscribed was to watch videos early. This use to be fine at my old location with abnormally good internet, 100mbit down.

I haven't watched any RT shows for a year now and here's why.

On release night it's like it uses more bandwidth, and I cannot switch it from 1080p HD to 720 or 480p Or to 240p.

Some of the old videos on the site are unplayable, and thanks to the new system where videos only buffer while being played it either ruins the experience or isn't playable.

The technical issues of a service I pay for is just not worth the stress anymore. It's not the price point. I might pay for DVD's but I'm just losing interest in all RT content after all the technical issues, I'm just tired of trying to watch the content.

Meanwhile I can watch stuff on Netflix in HD fine, YouTube live-streams in HD fine. I play games online, use PSN, Xbox Live fine. I use remote desktop fine, I am very tech savvy and work on events around these types of issues frequently. I know my stuff, I'm a big fan but I'm just tired of trying to watch it.

Hey I want to start by saying I still like Rooster Teeth and their content is still some of the best narrative driven entertainment out now.

I've been a Sponsor for a while. I saw Lazer Team at a theatre and paid for my bud. I showed Day 5 to my Dad who loves it. I found RvB on Gamespot pre-YouTube. I've watched and rewatched the RT podcast many times and love RWBY.

I'm Australian and the following issues do not occur on other sites like YouTube or Netflix.

This pertains to physical server locations and specifications to all the uninformed responses incoming. (I've defended this point before here to people who don't understand ping or megabyte vs megabit.

I intend to re-subscribe once things get better so here's my problem with the service:

It is rare I can watch the podcast live.

No Audio only stream, making listening in the car costly to my data plan.

I can't watch new videos for at least a week when traffic slows down, including sponsor only series, those speed up in a few days.

I also as a viewer have a long memory since I re-listen to the podcast, I know what I like about it. I find it stressful to hear about Trump on a entertainment source that has been safe from all that.

Bear in mind I watch the Joe Rogan Podcast, the difference in Trump mention/discussion is substantial.

In general the RT Podcast is getting very political almost every episode and even on many points I agree on I bored of it. I hear the same 'Trump just trumped allover himself again" everyday I walk outside for work already.

I like the hilarious stand-up comic style rants, the funny internet stories (like the guy who burned his house down with his pile of 'tissues'. And Joel raving about Gold. I like the new faces, and guest segments and hilarious pranks though don't get me wrong. Burnie it's only a matter of time.

I got the sponsorship to have early access, see exclusive series and watch the podcast live.

I feel like I can hardly use any of them. I'm cancelling once I see Day 5. But it's looking like I'm buying series after that.

Once/If the issues are somehow resolved I'll re-sub, but I've been upset by this for a while now.

      PS:

Still going to RTX Sydney 2018 for the 3rd year in a row! When are you guys gonna release that wicked ACDC Lazer Team trailer?

My little bro came to me the other day and showed me season 8.
I felt like he'd joined some secret society that I was already a part of. (I was super proud of him)

Rooster Teeth, entertainment for the whole family! But seriously thanks Rooster Teeth for improving my relationship with my little bro!

Anybody else have any friends or family that found RvB that you discovered later?

      Hi fellow RT fans!

I'm curious if anybody has seen the movie/show Ghost in the Shell and the series (Stand-Alone Complex)

I heard about Scarlett Johansson's casting back in January 2015 but wasn't really bothered by it.

Honestly I really didn't like the new series and still enjoy re-watching the old over Arise. To me new properties based on the IP haven't been good since Solid State Society.

Honestly I just hope the movie is good but I'll reserve any anticipation until I see it (given all the news it looks pretty bleak that it could be).

(if you've seen it) Favorite moments? Character? Plot? Villain? Movie or Series? Favorite philosophical quote? Saddest moment?

So today I've started and finished modifying a very useless bucket grade cooler I recieved. I'll be testing it out this summer but I think pictures might explain the transformation.

Checked insulation: insufient, not enough and no aluminium layer.

      MhTQstv.jpg

Coated existing insulation in aluminum tape: took some time.

      I9SZ0ql.jpg

Replaced new insulation back in place: Already pleased at the progress at this stage.

      OEeHI4z.jpg
Fill corners with new styro foam: This led to a surprisingly tight fit, took about 20 minutes to patiently press the case back together , Glad it didn't crack, probably due to the foam compressing slightly.

      7OPvHHu.jpg

Cracked the lid: I forgot to snap a photo of the secondary version, essentially cut and taped Styrofoam cubs then put the lid back together, much more solid now.

      yVfAtim.jpg

Improved the seal with aluminum tape: I'm still concerned this won't hold, I'll post if it does.

      9yxy7To.jpg

      Completed unit:

      feT9BEn.jpg

In summary the unit retained almost it's entire capacity, though the locking mechanism did take a bit of fiddling to engage I'll be leaving it for some time to adjust, if it doesn't I'll try the heat gun on it.

      Very pleased with the result.
