So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
      A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
      Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
      Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
      What have we found?
      The same old fears.

      Wish you were here.

(not part of the song) What's even more sad is that it's cloudy where I am.

    • My First SGC! (Day by Day Breakdown)

I attended SGC in Dallas over the weekend, and it was genuinely the greatest con experience I have had in my life! I met people I had otherwise only seen online, met some of those I look up to (Rooster Teeth in general, @Barbara, @RevDrMarquis, @Chris, and @Jordan were there), had many laughs, and walked out with a bunch of swag from the vendor hall. So much happened in 3 short days, and I'm still trying to let that sink in. To help that happen, I've decided to write about my experiences this weekend.

      Day 1
It began around 9ish, when my friend (of whom I was going with) and I arrived (we both lived a relatively short distance from the event, so we didn't have to get a hotel room). We first got our badges, and got in line for the opening ceremonies. We quickly learned that we had forgotten something truly important: our 3DSs. Pretty much everyone had one, so we basically had nothing to do while waiting in line other than play on our phones and people watch. Suddenly, PeanutButterGamer passes by us, I end up stopping him and get his autograph, and I'm able to chat with him for a moment as well. I also ran into ProJared, but I could tell he was in a hurry, so I simply gave him a high five. After the opening ceremonies (which also doubled as a ScrewAttack panel), we got in line for the autographs. We checked out the vendor hall afterwards, and then got in line for the ProJared panel. We did not, however, get into the autograph line for him. What we did do later on was get into the Mega64 autograph line, from which they were selling stuff. I ended up buying a con exclusive blu-ray and getting a picture with them. Finally, we went to the main event: ScrewAttack vs. Mega64. I was on ScrewAttack's side, something I was happy about when it ended. And with that, Day 1 of SGC was over for us.

      Day 2
The second day started out with us queueing for the PBG panel, of which was pretty entertaining. We couldn't, however, get in line for the autograph session, as more important things were at hand. Namely, getting a good spot in line for the Rooster Teeth panel. I was excited! I would finally get to see some of the people I look up to as idols and heroes. I (my friend had left the line and didn't return in time to get a seat) left once the Q&A started so we could get a good spot in the autograph line. Luckily, my friend made sure of that. As we approached the table, I was shacking with excitement! I told them of my admiration of them, and of my dream job at Rooster Teeth. Jordan reminded me that he wanted to work for them, and he got his wish (fingers crossed people!). They signed my autograph book, and I was able to get a picture with them. I still can't believe it. Afterwards, we browsed the vendor hall again, where I ended up buying Kingdom Hearts 2. The vendor was having a special where every dollar spent meant a free comic book. KH2 was $12. I had to carry 12 comic books throughout that whole day! It was during that time that I met the guys from TeamFourStar, who demonstrated their voice acting abilities to us. We were going to go to the DBZ Reunion panel, but the line was too long, and the autograph line was basically just a clump of people. I might be a fan of DBZ, but you couldn't pay me to wait in that line! It was at that point we decided to go to the TFS Q&A, and while I was in line, I bought my first amiibo (Luigi). Their panel was great! To top off the night, we went to the OTHER main event: DEATH BATTLE LIVE! As a DBZ fan, you can probably guess how angry I was at the ending. We left shortly after.

      Day 3
The final day was one of the most bitter-sweet days of my life. We first got in line for the Funhaus panel, of which was my friends first exposure to the Funhaus crew. We got into the autograph line once the panel had ended, where I had something special planned. I had brought an old demo disc for Bruce to snap and then allow the team to sign the fragments, but things went in a completely unexpected direction. Adam started filming with a GoPro, introducing me and allowing me to do an introduction of what was on the disc. Either while I was talking or right as I finished (forgot which one) Bruce yanks it from my hand and snaps it with a completely blank, straight face. They did sign the shards (and I got a picture with) them. We then tried to get in line for the Game Theorists autograph session, but it was too long, so we decided to get in line for the Q&A panel. Right before it started, I got MatPat to sign the book, and I took my seat. Afterwards, I went back to the vendor hall one last time, where I picked up the Gears of War 3 collector's edition and Uncharted 2. We had gotten in line for the game show, but it ran late, so we just decided to leave. Those last few steps were the hardest I ever had to make. I never wanted it to end. Also, I found out later that Adam gave away the remaining disc fragments to the people behind my friend and I in the autograph line. I started a trend!

So, here I am typing about my experiences. Suffering from post con depression. SGC 2015 will live on forever in my memory as one of those weekends that you wish you could experience again and again. Thank you ScrewAttack (I know this isn't their site) for hosting this amazing event. Thank you Barbara, Aaron, Chris, Jordan, @AdamKovic, @BruceGreene, @JamesWillems, and Lawrence for taking the time to come up here and spend time with fans like me. And thank you to everyone else who made SGC 2015 so great. Here's to an even greater SGC 2016!

@Barbara @Chris and @Jordan are coming to SGC this year along with the Funhaus guys. Why is this not listed on the events page?

UPDATE: Well, now they're acknowledging it.
